Reports from the action- field Youth volunteering (Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy, Bangalore)

Our March forward:

22nd February, 2018: Today, it was a great success, presenting about Technological Addiction and Depression in front of 60 students of Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy. We were lucky to get Professor Prakash V Mallya (Director), Dr Amit Das (Principal) and other Faculty. Response from the students was commendable. The entire faculty present expressed that it was a good initiative taken by us. They added that our explanation was appropriate.

Volunteer ship for Mental Health was promoted. Students personally came to us later on and appreciated us for this event. We are excited to be a part of this volunteering program with Positive Psychology Unit, Dept of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS.

ANOTHER MILESTONE:

The 20th of April was a great success for us, conducting a 1- hour seminar on “Technological Addiction” in front of 120 students from different colleges under Krupanidhi Group of Institutions.  Different colleges include Krupanidhi College of Nursing, Krupanidhi Pre-University College, Krupanidhi College of physiotherapy and some interested students from Krupanidhi College of pharmacy. Faculty of different colleges accompanied their students. A Pre- Session was done before starting the session. A Post session was also done after the session. Students raised questions and actively participated. Response of the students was commendable as they themselves promised to make some changes in their lifestyle. The entire faculty appreciated saying it was a fruitful program and the initiative taken by us is promising and motivating. They added that our explanation was appropriate and they expect more such programs. We also promoted volunteer-ship for Mental Health. Student personally came to us and appreciated us for this seminar and they were excited to be a part of   youth volunteering activities   for mental health in future.
