Two reports from the action-field

Steffanie Grimes, Lucy Deletta C A, Melissa Passanha and Anugraha Joseph, final year students of MSc Psychology, Kristu Jayanti college, Bangalore a workshop was conducted on the topic Goal setting and motivation management for 60 non-Psychology peers in their campus. This initiative was part of an action project to which the group had committed during the you-volunteer training program by of Positive Psychology Unit, Dept. of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS, Bangalore. The Goals workshop(action project) conducted by the youth volunteers aimed at helping participants to get emotionally engaged with their dreams, use the emotional energy of dreams for goal pursuit, understand various factors related to personal goal setting and identify and work through internal barriers in sustaining motivation to work on one’s goals.

A Mental Health Awareness Program was conducted on the 1st of September 2018 at Girls PG in Gottigere by Ms Mansi & Ms Varsha, BA Psychology Students of T John College, who underwent a you-volunteer training program organized by Positive Psychology Unit, Dept. of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS.

This volunteering mini-project by the two students included: A presentation on mental health; an interactive Quiz followed by mental Health oath taking and dissemination of mental health pledge cards.
