Reflect about past, Develop clarity and plan about the future

New Year is considered to be a good time to reflect about past, develop clarity and plan about the future. But reflection is a process which is helpful any time of the year and need not be restricted to only first day of the year. A regular practice would be helpful if you can:

  • Plan for some regular quiet time
  • Allow thoughts and feelings to come to your awareness
  • Watch them without criticism
  • Start maintaining a diary
  • Notice what is important for you and what makes you really happy
  • Plan how you can spend more time on things important for you or those which makes you come alive
