Do one random act of kindness daily

Studies have shown that performing simple random acts of kindness for other people can actually increase your own happiness. This is something that several people who do volunteer work have shared and those doing research on effects of volunteering have often documented.
Make a conscious effort to do something nice for no reason other than to help. Pick from one of the following random acts of kindness or come up with your own:

  • Pick up medicines for a neighbor
  • Donate used clothing
  • Write a thank you note to someone who is not expecting it
  • Help a child cross the road
  • Lift a grocery bag for an older adult who may be struggling to pick it up

“If we all do one random act of kindness daily, we might set the world in the right direction”
